Summer fun at The Dance Academy!

The TDA Sumner Dance Sessions will be held Monday August 1 - Wednesday August 31. Take classes for fun and keep your skills ready for fall and/or enjoy a fun musical theater experience as we create a mini version of Beauty and the Beast and a music and dance review titled: Celebration. Students taking core classes on Monday and Tuesday will be eligible to participate in the Celebration Revue. This show will be featured at the fair on the Family Fun Stage on Sunday the 11th at 7:00. Students will receive two tickets per student to attend the Puyallup Fair. Students participating in the Celebration Revue can also participate in the Beauty and the Beast Production. 

Students taking at least one core class (Ballet, Jazz and/or Hip Hop) plus a Musical Theater class will be eligible to participate in the special production of Beauty and the Beast to be performed twice at the Puyallup Fair on the ShowPlace Stage on Saturday September 10th. The Beauty and the Beast mini musical will take place on Saturday September 10, 2011 at 4:00 and 5:00. The Celebration Dance and Music Review will take place on Saturday September 10, 2011 at 11:30 -12:15. Students participating in the show will receive free tickets to the fair (four tickets per student) and the chance to dance, sing, and in a Broadway style production. All preparation for the Beauty and the Beast Production will take place on Wednesday during Musical Theater classes. Dress rehearsal for the Celebration Revue and Beauty and the Beast will be held Wednesday August 31, 2011. Costumes for Beauty and the Beast will be provided. Costumes for the Celebration Revue will be procured by the performer. This means that the items you have in your closet and/or previous costumes could be used. Suggestions per each number in the Celebration Revue will be given.
